Approx 1 hour drive to one of the most iconic landmarks in the United States, featuring the faces of four U.S. Presidents carved into the rugged granite mountainside in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A trip to this historic and awe-inspiring monument is a must-see for anyone visiting the area.
Approx 1 hour drive to the wild west, where nearly 1,300 bison wander the park’s 71,000 acres, which they share with pronghorn antelope, elk, mountain goats and a band of burros. Trail rides, scenic drives, bike rides and safari tours are perfect ways to explore this impressive South Dakota attraction.
Approx 1 hour 40 minute drive to a maze of buttes, canyons, pinnacles, spires and skeletons of three-toed horses and saber-toothed cats are among the many fossilized species found here. Within the park’s 244,000 acres you can often see a wide range of wildlife while hiking and traveling the Badlands Loop Scenic Byway.
Approx 20 minute drive - The Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, a 22-mile route is one of the most breathtaking drives in the Black Hills winding through towering cliffs, majestic waterfalls, & panoramic views. Approx 1 hour drive -The world's largest mountain carving located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It is considered The Eighth Wonder of the World in progress. It will depict the Oglala Lakota warrior Crazy Horse, riding a horse and pointing to his tribal land. The monument is being carved out of Thunderhead Mountain, on land considered sacred by some Oglala Lakota, between Custer and Hill City, roughly 17 miles from Mount Rushmore
1 hour 18 minutes to Experience & explore the iconic, national monument - Devils Tower in Wyoming. The tower has a flat top covering 1.5 acres and fluted sides standing at 867 feet high as measured from its base and 1,267 feet as measured from the river valley; its top has an elevation of 5,112 feet above sea level. Hike around the base or climb the tower's massive walls with a guide. Stop in for refreshments at Devils Tower Trading Post on your way in!
